Just throwing in a quick post while I have internet access!  Internet has been going in and out for the past two days so I haven't been able to effectively update.  Hopefully I'll be back on track tomorrow...

I'm a grandma!

...And I'm not even a mom yet!  We weren't sure when our cat Lacuna would have her kittens, we were just hoping it would not be the same day I went in to labor.  We did, however, think that there would be more than one in there!  Here she is almost 12 hours after labor began this morning enjoying being a mother of her single kitten.  We are happy she only had one because we didn't think we could handle a litter of kittens with my own little one coming.

I've tried a blog before, it lasted about a week!  I would love to expand my photography skills, so I'm always looking for tips.  One of my favorite tips I have come across is to take pictures!  My goal for the blog is to take pictures everyday and to post one of these pictures to prove to the world that I am doing so!  This might be an awful big task to take on with my first child due Thanksgiving day, but I'm getting pretty restless.  I also figured that he would be a great inspiration for daily photography, after I get past the lack of sleep!  On to my first photo for the blog...

I was inspired to go out and capture the beautiful colors of fall today!  We got our first really big rain of the season last night, and I'm loving the clouds and dreariness!
